No Discrimination with
Public Funds. Simple.

If a private group wants public funds, they must serve the public -- ALL of us. Simple, right?

But an upcoming Supreme Court decision could force public funds to private groups that discriminate against LGBTQ+, Jewish, Muslim, Mormon or anyone, simply by saying it's against their religious belief. And that's not who we are.

[Philadelphia] proudly respects and protects all of our residents’ religious freedoms, a commitment that we hold dear. But those freedoms do not allow contractors performing a City service to choose which residents they will serve based on their sexual orientation.”

FULTON v. PHILADELPHIA

This spring, the U.S. Supreme Court will issue a decision in the case Fulton v. Philadelphia that could allow private groups that receive taxpayer-funding to provide government services — such as foster care, adoption, food banks, homeless shelters, and more — to deny those services to people such as LGBTQ+, single women, Jewish, Muslim, or Mormon people. These private groups claim they have a constitutional right to do so because they have a religious objection to serving these groups of people. For foster care services alone this case could have a profound impact on the lives of the more than the 440,000 children in foster care across the country. Freedom of religion has always a fundamental and protected right -- but that freedom doesn’t give any of us the right to impose our beliefs on others, or to discriminate. Find out more.
